Effects of Medium Density Fiberboards (MDF) Recycling Methods on Fiber Dimensions and Some Reconstructed Board Properties

In this study, different methods, including acid hydrolysis (phosphoric and formic acid), thermohydrolysis, microwave methods were tested for recycling of fiberboards made 100 % beech 70 + 30 pine wood fibers, which are widely sold in the market. The impacts using on fibers investigated with help a device that determines fiber dimensions according to optical principles. laboratory setting, test boards constructed recycled changes certain physical mechanical qualities studied. As result, it was determined obtained from thermo-hydrolysis could be effectively used fiberboard production. However, proportion longer than 1.24 mm, decreased by about phosphoric method MDF samples composed fiber. not through except fibers.
